Abrastar STZ fibre abrasive discs for grinders are designed for work on tough metals with high hardness or so-called super alloys with higher demands such as stainless steels and high alloy steels.

STZ vulcanised fibre discs meet this challenge perfectly with a zirconium grain on a vulcanised fibre backing and bonded by a powerful synthetic resin binder to produce a very tough product.

The self-sharpening effect of zirconia grit. Zirconium is a very hard, synthetically produced abrasive grain with a crystalline structure and sharp edges that are maintained and renewed by the breaking effects of sanding processes.

Always keeping new sharp edges and thus achieving a homogeneous and continuous sanding with a long service life.

Sanding depends on the backing pad. The correct choice of the suitable backing pad makes it possible to have a decisive influence on the work on the surface.

The soft backing pads are suitable for more even sanding and adapt flexibly to the contour of the workpiece. It is ideal for fine sanding, contour work and edge rounding.
